About Me



 

I was born in Medan North Sumatera - Indonesia from a Moluccan family (my family name from my father is Tamaela from Porto/Saparua, and my mother's family name is Hogendorp from Tanimbar Island).


In 1978 I moved to Bandung -- after finishing High School in Medan -- and graduated from Politeknik Mekanik Swiss ITB in 1982.Then I joined "Pikiran Rakyat Daily" in Bandung Indonesia in 1987 as sport journalist. During  my work for "Pikiran Rakyat", I've covered several soccer events such as World Cup 1990,

World Cup 1994, Euro 1992, Euro 1996, and World Cup 1998 Drawing in 1997, then the final round of EURO 2000 in Holland and Belgium, which the France team defeated Italy in the final in Rotterdam.

Of course I also covering several badminton -- which Indonesia players are among the best in the world -- tournaments/championships e.g Badminton World Cup in Thailand 1988, Malaysia and Thailand Open in 1989, Hongkong Open 1991, in Hongkong, then the famous All England Tournament 1993 in London dan All England 1994 in Birmingham , Korea and Japan Open 1995, and the World Cup and Sudirman Cup at Estadio San Pablo in Sevilla-Spain 2001.

The job is just fantastic,  beside   I do love soccer very much.***
