Capped an outstanding collegiate career at Boston College by winning the 1984 Heisman Trophy...left school as the NCAA's all-time passing yardage leader with 10,579 yards (since surpassed)...was a consensus All-America as a senior and earned Player of the Year honors from UPI, Kodak, Sporting News as well as the Maxwell Club...as a senior, completed 233 of 386 passes for 3,454, 27 TDs and 11 INTs...Most memorable moment of BC career came at Miami (11/23/84) when he went 34 | of 46 for 472 yards and three TDs, including a 48-yard pass to Gerard Phelan as time expired to give BC the 47-45 upset.
