A prolific goalscorer throughout his career, Kurt has established himself at Deepdale despite a less than convincing start here. Signed from Burnley for £150,000 in March 1997, it was only last season that saw Nogan finally hit good form for North End. Legendary for his love of beer and curries, it is well known that Kurt is a 'difficult' player for a manager to deal with, and it is to David Moyes's credit that the Welsh 'B' international was such a crucial member of last season's promotion chasing side. He is never happier than when playing in front of the Sky TV cameras, scoring two typical poacher's strikes to put North End 2-0 up in the FA Cup tie against Arsenal, and a magnificent curling shot from the edge of the area to defeat Burnley 1-0 at Turf Moor. He is another player who has been the subject of never ending transfer speculation, with Blackpool and Hearts the most recent clubs to be linked with him. Rumours regarding his off the field behaviour means that Nogan is a player that could leave the club at any time, but he is still here and could still prove to be an important member of the team next season.
